Downtown
Downtown San Luis Obispo, on Garden Street.
We’re in the middle of downtown, a short walk from the Mission and Higuera Street.
Dr. Garrett studied mechanical engineering at Cal Poly, about two miles from this office, before he ever thought about orthodontics. He came back to practice here.
Parking is on the street: out front on Garden Street and on the surrounding blocks.

What we do at the San Luis Obispo office.
Everything the practice offers is available at both offices, the equipment, the scanners and the 3D imaging are in both buildings.
Before you decide anything
What the first visit costs.
Nothing. The exam, the scan and the treatment plan are complimentary, and you’ll leave knowing the full fee before you decide anything.
And there are no hidden charges in it.
Most emergencies (a poking wire, a broken bracket) don’t come with a bill. Your first retainers after the braces come off are in the fee too, along with the retainer check. Monthly payments are interest-free, and there’s a discount if you’d rather pay in full at the start.
We verify your insurance benefits before you come in, file the claims, and show you what your share is expected to be.

San Luis Obispo questions.
Which days is the San Luis Obispo office open?
Tuesday and Thursday, 8:30 to 4:30. Monday, Wednesday and Friday we’re in Arroyo Grande.
Where do I park?
Street parking out front and on the surrounding blocks.
Can I be seen at the other office if a Tuesday doesn’t work?
Yes. It’s one practice, one doctor and one set of records. Plenty of families move between the two depending on the week. Arroyo Grande is open Monday and Wednesday.
A wire is poking. Can I come in today?
Call the office first, 805.544.3223. If it’s a Tuesday or Thursday we’ll usually get you in the same day. If it isn’t, we’ll tell you what to do at home and when to come in.
Do you treat adults here, or only children?
Both. Dr. Garrett now does more clear-aligner treatment than braces, and a good share of that is adults.
